What Is Diversity, Equity, Inclusion?
Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging ensure that every voice is heard and every need can be addressed. In diversity, voices from all types of backgrounds can be shared. In equity, needs can be addressed per individual. In inclusion, all voices are invited to the table.
Why Is Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Important?
The pharmacy profession is comprised of and supports a diverse group of individuals. Acknowledging and engaging diversity, equity, and inclusion will progress the collective voice of pharmacy, ensuring every voice and need is heard and addressed.
The Connecticut Pharmacists Association advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion among our members and pharmacy communities across the state. Our members’ backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives – combined with a respect for the intrinsic value of each individual – enriches our ability to deliver education, to enhance healthcare services, and to advocate for health equity for all.
